I think I was ...I remembered those days quite well. I think I was six or seven at the time. We walk by Jefferson, and look at them make the pop through the windows. It was so fascinating to watch them. Pour it bottle. And if we were really lucky my mom would buy a case. It was one of the best pops that were around. It was a great neighborhood. Kind of fell by the wayside when they put the I 75 bridge. I tore down quite a few blocks. Thank you for all the memories. I remember the story about Mary Szwala fighting for better air and showing her clothesline with sky-spattered clothing hanging on it. The Hungarian bakery had the best bread ever! Their farm was in belleville and was called gold rock. It was a beautiful farm and had the first electric lights in the area.
